Our Mission & Vision

Here at WECC, our overarching desire is “To Love God and Make Him Known”.  For over 125 years, the Winthrop Covenant Church has sought to be a community of believers who do just that.  To that end, we have been at work serving our church and our community in a way that glorifies God and draws all people into deeper relationship with Him.  Our ministries are all designed to serve, teach, and make known the love and grace of God and we hope that through these opportunities, you can get plugged in and experience God in a new and deeper way.

Meet our Staff:

dan-johnson-photoDan Johnson, Interim Pastor

Pastor Dan joined us in September of 2016, after Pastor Kyle Kachelmeier answered a Call with Journey Covenant Church in Wichita, Kansas.
Pastor Dan has been a Covenant pastor for over 32 years, serving congregations in Michigan, Wisconsin, California and Minnesota. He just recently retired after 16 years of serving as senior pastor of First Covenant Church, Willmar, MN.  He has been married to his wife, Faith, for 39 years. Faith is a nurse educator at Ridgewater College in Willmar.
They have two grown sons; one who is an Air Force pilot and the other who is training to be an Air Force pilot.  And most importantly, they have three amazing grandchildren!

krystalKrystal Stoll, Church Secretary

I was asked to step in as church secretary in June of 2013, and I am very excited to be able to serve the congregation in this way!   I have held several secretarial/admin positions over the years, working in a variety of industries: a previous church, a magazine, a retail chain, an industrial printer company, and a realty company.  I graduated from Northwestern College in 1999 with a B.S. in Radio Broadcasting, and while I was there I served as the News Director and disc jockey for our college radio station, WVOE, and interned in the News Dept of KTIS.

I have been attending one function or another at Winthrop Covenant almost since we moved here in 2005, though our transition to regular attendance was gradual.   I enjoy being involved in the MOPS group here, served with AWANA four four years, and currently coordinate the sound team.  My husband, Jim, and I were married in 1998 and we have four children: Aeva, Jovi, Trey and Lan.

I am very grateful for this opportunity to serve the church.  If you have questions or need to speak to me, feel free to contact the church office
and I will be happy to help you in any way I can.
