Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as mowing the church lawn, to ushering on Sunday morning.  To help out in any of these areas, please contact the church office and we will get you plugged in!

Mission & Outreach

WECC is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in our local community through our four outreach ministries,
AWANA (our Wednesday night program for kids), the Prayer Shawl ministry, Clothes Closet and Food Cupboard.  In addition to local missions, we support the work of international missionaries Francisco and Stephanie Ramos, currently serving in France. The Mission team also meets the physical and emotional needs of our own congregation, through visiting the housebound, providing for the sick and coordinating funerals.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Worship Ministry

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. And we have plenty of off-stage roles to fill too!  All of these volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Ushers & Greeters

The usher team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Our greeters are the first impression of our church to a newcomer, and the first friendly face each of us see upon entering the church.  It’s their job to be a welcoming, comfortable presence to everyone who comes for worship.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. We utilize the talents of a dedicated sound team to ensure a high quality service.  All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website.

Christian Discipleship

Here at WECC, we understand that the life-changing work of Christ doesn’t end with a one-time decision.  Rather, we believe that the church should be in the business of training and discipling God’s people so that they may live full, whole lives, completely equipped to do the work that God has called us to do.  Our Discipleship team oversees our Sunday School program, the senior high Youth Group, youth Confirmation and the Women’s and Men’s ministries.  In addition, this team coordinates with Lake Beauty Bible Camp for summer and winter camp events.
