Welcome to WECC!

We’re glad you’re here! Whether you’re new in town and looking for a church home, been directed here by a friend or found us on social media, we are grateful you’ve clicked on through.

Who We Are

WECC is a multi-generational family of believers who aspire to do more than just go to church – we want to be the church. What that means for us is that we desire to be Christ’s disciples, to know him more and to reflect his character.

We are regular people, balancing careers, families, dreams and passions while we seek to serve those around us, seek the will of God and walk through life together.

Whether you’re strong in your faith, feel estranged from God or somewhere in between, we hope that you can find a place within our faith community to experience God in a new way.

What We Believe

WECC is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church, a fast-growing denomination originally founded by Swedish immigrants to North America. The ECC sums up our beliefs in these “Covenant Affirmations”:
  • We affirm the centrality of the word of God.
  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth.
  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.
  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.
  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.
  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.

Still have questions?

There’s a lot to learn about when checking out a new place, and we want to make sure you have as much info as you need.  Here are answers to a few commonly asked questions:

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SERVICE?
The service lasts about an hour.  We sing songs accompanied by a worship team, guitars and piano..  All the lyrics are shown on the screen in front so you can follow along.  The sermon lasts about 30 minutes and our pastor teaches from Scripture. There are often videos used to help illustrate themes.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

You may wear whatever you want. There are some people who wear suits and ties, but many go more business casual (slacks and a button shirt), and still others wear jeans. It’s important to remember that God looks at the soul, not at the suit.

WHAT SIZE CHURCH IS IT?

Our Sunday morning worship has an average of 75 people in attendance.  We have many advantages as a small congregation.  We can easily share and support one another, and we have plenty of room for you and your family!

WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?

We do bring an offering, but it is for our members and regular attendees to support our work locally and around the globe.. If you are a visitor/guest, please do not feel obligated to give.

WHAT DO MY KIDS DO?
Jesus welcomed little ones, and we do too!  We encourage you to bring your children to service.  God put the wiggle in kids; we don’t expect you to suppress it in His house. But we know that sometimes the littlest ones need more care.  We offer a nursery for ages 0-3 during service, and we provide coloring sheets and crayons for those a bit older who may need something to focus on.

We have Sunday School for the different age groups after the worship service, and kids really love the singing and teaching time especially structured for them.

DO YOU HAVE COFFEE?

Yes!  And snacks!  We serve FREE coffee, tea, and hot chocolate along with a selection of goodies in the overflow room in between service and Sunday School.
