Here at WECC, our overarching desire is “To Love God and Make Him Known”. Since 1891, the Winthrop Covenant Church has sought to be a community of believers who do just that. To that end, we have been at work serving our church and our community in a way that glorifies God and draws all people into deeper relationship with Him. Our ministries are all designed to Learn, Serve, and Share our faith. Through our ministries you can get plugged in and experience God in a new and deeper way.
Our Denomination
On a broader level, our church is a member of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, a denomination that consists of over 850 churches throughout North America. Founded in 1885 by Swedish Immigrants, the ECC is one of the fastest growing denominations today. For more information on our denomination’s beliefs, click here.
Our Staff
Gary Gilkinson
Pastor
Rev. Gary Gilkinson (B.Th; M.A.; MDiv) has been serving as pastor since February of 2018. Pastor Gary has pastored rural churches in both Canada and the United States. He and his wife, Pam, have two married children who both live in Canada and their son also pastors a rural Covenant church in Manitoba.
